We'll start out on Thursday, June 29th in Hinton for a round of golf at the Hinton Golf Club. Tee times begin at 11:30am. Some couples may wish to drive up to Hinton on Wednesday night - we hear that the Ramada is a nice place to stay.

Then we head for Jasper to check-in at the Pyramid Lake Resort. We have made arrangements for preferred rates on a block of rooms. There are several choices:

Whistler Suite; 1 bedroom, kitchenette

Tekarra Loft; 1 bedroom, kitchenette, loft

For those looking for an organized alternative to golf on Friday, we have the following ideas:

Hang out at Jasper Park Lodge for a walk around the lake, a leisurely lunch, and a bit of shopping. Pretend you're staying there ... it will feel great!
Meeting time and location "tba".

Canoe and paddle-boat regatta (otherwise known as "floating cocktail hour"). Book your pleasure craft and take it for a spin around the lake. Rent for an hour, or rent for the day.

Hike the 'Bald Hills' trail from Maligne Lake. This is rated as an easy hike (about 4 hours). This is what our guide book says ... "This destination more than any other, screams "Jasper!" Here your eyes can gobble all of Maligne Lake and the Queen Elizabeth Ranges. The hills are adorned with heather and, in July and August, dappled with wildflowers..." (Make sure you pack water.)

Our plan for Saturday morning is to drive to Whistlers Road and take the gondola up to the tea house near Whistlers summit. There is a short 1.3 km hike to the summit, and more hiking beyond for the hardier souls. Of course, lunch at the tea house is an option.
We plan to take some photographs at the island just beyond Pyramid Lake Resort at 4:00pm and then a short ceremony (the exact location still to be determined). Supper will be served in the Columbia Room at about 6:00pm.

On Sunday morning, we plan to have breakfast at the Resort and then head our separate ways. Check-out time is11:00am.
