2005 Adventure Tour - Golden, B.C.

June 23-26, 2005

We'll start out on June 23rd in Canmore for a pot-luck dinner at Stan and Dee's place. Each couple is responsible for their own accomodation on this night.

Off to Golden on June 24th - Friday, June 24th will be a golf day at the Golden Golf & Country Club, for those interested. Terry will book tee times between 12:00 and 1:00 PM, and will need to know well in advance who is golfing. The rate for 18 holes is $59.00 (a cart is extra).

For those interested in white water rafting, we'll meet on Saturday morning at 10:00am at Wet & Wild Adventures. The plan is to do a full day of rafting; this includes a BBQ lunch and costs $80 per person. If you are interested in only a half day of rafting, lunch is not included, and the price is $60.00. The morning will be slow and calm - the afternoon is where we separate the men from the sheep!

Our accomodation is at the Glenogle Lodge. We can check in at any time on Friday, June 24th. We have two nights booked here. Breakfast is included in the price of our accomodation. Doris, our hostess, is going to cook Friday and Saturday night dinners for us; a BBQ on Friday, and a buffet dinner on Saturday. The cost will be approximately $20 on Friday night, and $25 on Saturday (per person).

On Sunday morning, Sandra will lead the more ambitious adventurers on a pleasant mountain hike up behind the Glenogle Lodge. Bring your pepper spray and hiking boots! Otherwise, you're on your own to make getaway plans.
